While Saint Francis of Assisi prayed at the abandoned and rundown church in nearby San Damiano, the icon of Christ crucified suddenly came alive, speaking "Francis, Go, rebuild My Church, which as you can see, is in ruins!" Inflamed with a burning love, Francis began to repair the church of San Damiano, but later realized that God was calling him to restore the whole church, the Body of Christ. Measuring 12 x 16-inches and includes a hook for hanging. It is ideal for a small home chapel or church.
