Start controlling and modifying your light with this Fotodiox silver reflective umbrella. In general, the umbrella will soften and broaden the light output of any strobe or lower wattage constant light. This model features a reflective silver interior that amplifies your light and creates hard light, revealing structure and detail in your subjects. The umbrella also has a black backing to minimize light loss and light spill while maximizing output. Silver umbrellas add specular highlights - a little bit more 'snap' than a white umbrella. Silver umbrellas also add ½-1 f/stop of light output, depending on the light source used. Most studio lights include a built-in umbrella receptacle for instant mounting. There are also a variety of mounting brackets available for speedlights with adjustable and tiltable options for precise positioning. Additional control can be achieved by fine-tuning the 'focus' of the beam by varying the flash head's position along the umbrella's shaft. For further light modification, an optional 1-stop diffusion cover is available (sold separately).
