This is a beautiful black felt toque from the 1940s'. The hat consists of a cap that ends in a point at the front. The felt has been shaped so there is a folded and topstitched band across the middle of it, creating an indentation on top. The edge is trimmed in intricate and beautiful corded edging. There is a black feather" wing" at the front, which extends towards one side. There is also a curled quill to complete this fabulous look.A TOQUE is a small cap or bonnet having a narrow brim or no brimLABEL: Mostly illegible, but you can see size 23 (23" inside circumference) This is an authentic piece of fashion history! This hat is in wonderful vintage condition & has been lovingly preserved among over 1300 vintage hats we have collected for 40+ years.
