Traveling Man Treasures is selling this beautifully decorated antique Satsuma Moriage Buddha incense burner. The artisan hand-painted enamel and gold trim details are impeccable.
On the bottom is a round, flow-blue hallmark. It reads, "Hand Painted - Nippon - Made in Japan." There is some light wear to the gold trim at the crown of the head, but this decorative incense burner still displays beautifully!

"Nippon" marks are Japanese porcelain marks that identify hand-painted items made for export, primarily to the United States, between 1891 and 1921. The word "Nippon" itself is the Japanese name for Japan.
