15.4'' MacBook Pro running latest Ubuntu

This MacBook Pro has been sitting in a drawer for years, no longer being used. I would love for someone else to get some good use out of it. It is old hardware though, hence slow, so the best use case is instead of a Raspberry Pi: it has as Intel processor, and comes with a nice keyboard, trackpad, screen, battery and charger for less than a similar Raspberry Pi setup. It used to run Mac OS El Capitan, but it is now too old to be supported, so apps no longer received updates. So I decided to install the newest Ubuntu instead.

CD and DVD reader/writer
French AZERY keyboard
Currently running Ubuntu LTS 24.04

Known issues:
Body is bumped, esp. near ethernet port. But ethernet port still works.
Trackpad "press down to click" no longer works, but "tap to click works (this is all I use anyway)
Charger taped where sleeve is worn out, but works.
French AZERTY keyboard.
